Radio announcer, producer and lecturer on digital media, Carlos Townsend has dual Brazilian and American nationality, with a Summa Cum Laude degree in Radio and Television Broadcast Technology from Miami-Dade College.
He began his career with the TV Globo television channel as a sound effects assistant and Master Control operator.
During the 1970s and 1980s he worked with the Jornal do Brasil Communications Group, in charge of the conceptualization and implementation of the Radio Cidade radio station format in the Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Recife and Goiania markets.
He was the Label Manager of the International Department of CBS Discos (currently Sony Music) and the International Marketing Department Manager of EMI Music.
In 1992, he launched the Work Station Digital, company which produces and finalizes digital audio and video presentations.
At the moment he is the owner and consultant of RadioMakers. and also works with VoiceOver with prize-winning projects funded by the Communications Department of TV Globo International and the Brazilian Olympic Committee for the Rio de Janeiro candidacy to host the 2007 Pan-American Games
